have you seen my brain?

01. the history — how i got here

Baseline: Nov 10, 2025 · Peak Brain · QEEG + IVA-2
Retest: Dec 19, 2025 · Peak Brain · QEEG + IVA-2 · Dr. Hill Zoom readout Dec 31
Amen: Jul 9–13, 2026 · SPECT ×2 + Total Brain + Conners CPT 3 · Dr. Creado

the reason i am doing all of this: i want to be viable. i want to be able to enjoy my life. i want to be the best version of me, and my brain — both my brain health and my brain performance — is really important to me. it's important to me in all aspects of my life. so really — that's really the goal here in all of what i am going to talk about.

life is really two parts for me: how i experience the world, and how the world experiences me. two really different things. what i've done through my life is: i've taken personality tests to help me be a better person [ … ] in business, working with others, all that. so i've done a lot of personality tests — assessments to help identify what my strengths are, what areas i can improve on, communication styles, things like that.

but there was another element to this: how is my brain functioning? i heard about a qeeg test, and i was curious — what does that even look like? what can that tell us? so i looked up the qeeg. first did the qeeg test at peak brain, with doctor andrew hill. and i got to see how my brain was working, particularly with things around focus and attention, and how much stimulation i get for my attention, and how much stamina i can develop with it — or the areas where my brain isn't hitting the levels i'd like it to be hitting.

then the follow-up was: what's happening internally in the brain — in the blood flow of the brain? — which i did later here in july, going to amen clinic and doing the spect scan.

the stamina reframe. what i used to call add is really a stamina drift on top of a genuine deep-focus baseline. three instruments — the nov 10, 2025 peak brain intake screener, the nov 10 iva-2, and the july 2026 amen conners cpt 3 — all come back not-adhd. the conners readout put it plainly: "overall, because there is only one atypical t-score, the results do not suggest that kevin has a disorder characterized by attention deficits, such as adhd."

[ 00:03:41 ] — kevin, on the amen recommendations

"when you go through all of the different recommendations, particularly from amen clinic, they throw absolutely everything at you — including the high hyperbaric oxygen chamber. you can see it in the results. ninety minutes in there, i immediately thought of michael jackson, and — yeah, i am not doing that. but there were other things that i was already doing. i am trying to see what can i reasonably pull from some of those results that i can fit into my lifestyle, and which ones will make an impact."

[ 00:08:23 ] — kevin, on stopping neurofeedback

"on the neurofeedback side, that was just — it was cumbersome. between what i was doing, in my movement, and getting to it, it was more of just a schedule item. and then i took a trip — i had a trip that i was on the road, and i couldn't take that equipment with me. my laptop was already loaded up, so i couldn't put another one on it. that trip lasted for a few weeks. it was probably about six weeks of travel, and i never got back into the neurofeedback after that. just — didn't do it. life is just a little bit more mobile than what that treatment allows for."

the neurofeedback stop was a logistics stop — a six-week travel period i couldn't take the equipment on, and momentum never came back. not a clinical stop. not a peak brain decision.

doctor hill gave a targeted read, showed change on the retest, and set the north star: eight hours of unmedicated sleep.

the spect at amen was reflective of blood flow that was consistent with some of what the other tests were showing — a little bit of confirmation, no severity, nothing locked or stuck.

and then the concussion question: three distinct bell-rung events — a horse fall as a teenager, a football hit from the side, a 2012–2013 airbag — plus minor ones from living life, and an honest question about whether the accumulation left anything behind. that has its own page.

[ 00:10:17 ] — kevin, the closing takeaway

"i've mentioned this, and i'd like to mention this again: not looking for anything to be diagnosed. i really wanted to understand — areas where things correlated. so on the qeeg, on the spect, on the intake exams that had a variety of questions on it, on the personality tests, on the cpt tests — on all these tests that we've done, where did things correlate for me? and where were things pointed out where i really didn't feel that way or agree with what was said on it? because i want to know: where do i have to be aware to work on things? what are things that i might carry that don't necessarily affect me negatively — they might be a positive to me?"

[ 00:11:20 ] — kevin, the closing takeaway

"so really, this is a share — in a period of time, at this age — sharing where i am. best to think of it like: i don't have to build wealth necessarily right now. i have to save what i have and invest what i have. it's kind of a similar approach with my brain, and hopefully what you would look at when you look at this: this is a great time in your life. what is it that you can save and invest to make yourself have the best version of yourself, so you can move into different phases of your life and be able to enjoy them?"

"i am fine. i am fine. i am fine."
